It is accessible from the San Zaccaria Vaporetto stop (public transport) in only 2 minutes’ walk in straight line. In the surroundings you can find excellent restaurants, every sort of shop, the supermarket and the most renowned tourist sites such as St. Mark's Basilica and the Doge's Palace.
Quietness is guaranteed here: you will hardly hear the gondoliers singing while rowing through the nearby canal as the huge double glaze windows are soundproof. It has been recently restored and finely furnished, equipped with Wi-Fi, air conditioning and every sort of modern appliance.
The structure is quite interesting: as you can see from the photo gallery, the authentic 5 meters tall ceiling is one of the most beautiful in our portfolio, witnessing the opulence of the past centuries. The entire house is an open space with two galleries, both reachable through wooden stairways and composed of a bedroom with closet space and bathroom with shower. The beds sizes are respectively king (1.8 meters wide) and double (1.4 meters wide).
We suggest the Tommaseo apartment to demanding couples, families with grown-up kid or friends who share intimacy, as the bedrooms are part of the open space environment and cannot be completely closed. The house is very comfortable for up to three people but may be rented by four as in the living room there is also a double pull-out bed.
The building features also a communal terrace with outdoor furniture and charming canal view. To reach the teccace the guests must walk from the communal entrance hall at the ground floor through the corridor that leads to the canal side, therefore it is not directly connected to the apartment.

We spent unforgettable time in Tommaseo apartment. The location is perfect - just in the heart of Venice 5 min walk from San Marco square but the street is so quite and well situated, you can stay with open windows and no noise at all. The apartment in general is absolutely amazing, has everything needed, sometimse we didn't even want to leave it for a walk))) The Truly Venice representative was very friendly and kind, it was a big pleasure to communicate with her. So I highly recommend this apartment to everybody who plan to visit Venice. Unforgettable experience. Venice and Tommaseo are pure love!

Centrally located but perfectly quiet. Terrace is a perfect spot for gondola watching. Anna met us upon arrival and gave great recommendations for the neighborhood. Only issue was the staircase leading to the second bedroom was a bit difficult to manage (more like a boat ladder). Thanks Truly Venice, well definitely be back to stay again, whether at this property or another of yours!

This apartment was ideal for our first trip to Venice. Everything seemed to be on our doorstep. The Truly Venice Representative was brilliant, she met us off the Alilaguna at S Zaccaria from the airport and we arrived at our apartment in 5 minutes. The apartment had a communal balcony, so you had to go down the stairs and outside to reach it. It overlooked a small canal, that was busy with gondolas , which was lovely to see. It has 2 double ensuite bedrooms , both upstairs. The stairs to one of the bedrooms were very steep and I would only suggest able bodied people to use this bedroom, Nice little table to sit round with 4 chairs . Everything was spotless. Great kitchen well equipped . Handy for the vaperetto , gondolas, st. Marks Square. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. what more could you want !

Tommaseo apartment is in an excellent location with a short walk to San Marco Piazza, vaporattos and other sights. The apartment is well fitted to handle 4 people with the bedrooms separated by different stairways. Hannah was a great host and met us at the vaporatto stop and showed us through the apartment and gave us some good restaurant ideas.

Location is just in the Castello; close to San Marco. Apartment was nice and well equipped. Professionally managed; someone met us at the vaparetto stop and walked us to the apartment and showed us around .Both bedrooms are on a second level (mezzanine) added into a high ceiling apartment. The stairs up/down to the bedrooms are steep (one is very steep). We rented primarily for the balcony/terrace. (You have to go down one level and up a level to access it.) The balcony/terrace was fantastic.

From the moment of arrival we knew this was a perfect choice, from the original ancient timbers girding the sky-high ceiling to the well appointed kitchen and living quarters. Thomas, our Truly Venice agent, met us at the vaporetto dock to lead us to the apartment, all the while giving us landmarks to help with future navigation. His joyful explanation of where to go and what to do was exemplary and every suggestion he offered was spot on. Nearby are restaurants to fit any budget and taste as well as a fully stocked grocery market. The apartment is easy walking distance to the madding tourist crowds, yet it is just as easy to get lost in quiet and solitude, along the many passageways. Both bedrooms are all one would expect in both comforts and appointments. I would offer a word of caution should the second bedroom be used. Access requires climbing a stair ladder which could cause a problem for anyone with limited mobility. Staying in Tommaseo made us feel almost like we were locals, just hanging out in our home and we found it to be an exceptional value to boot.

We arrived at the Vaporetto stop, San Marco/Zattere and were met by a lovely young woman who actually escorted us to our apartment. Now, this may not seem "special", but having rented apartments in Venice for over 30 years, it was VERY welcome! We know Venice very well but even a Venetian can have a problem locating a particular address. She escorted us to the apartment and then actually took the time to explain things. She, personally, gets an A+. The apartment was a kind of "2 loft/bedroom and 2 bathrooms. If a couple are looking for privacy, this may not be the best choice. But! for our family of 3, our son is 20, it was perfect! The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are nice, if a bit small. Also, the air conditioning works GREAT! The kitchen is well appointed and a meal, large or small is easy here. I have to say though, after staying in many different places in Venice, this is LOVELY! One of the BEST things, is the patio overlooking a small, quiet canal. We never saw or heard a powerboat but there were plenty of serene gondola gliding by. It was wonderful sitting out there in the shade, drinking wine and watching the tourist go by on the bridge a little further up the canal. There are an abundance of small restaurants nearby and it is within easy walking distance to Piazza San Marco. I would not only recommend this apartment, but I would consider anything that "Truly Venice" has to offer. They and their staff are excellent! We will stay with them again!

This apartment is centrally located by quiet, side canal, just a couple of minutes walk from Piazza San Marco. It is a couple of minutes from San Zaccaria, so access to water buses, taxis and gondolas is very easy too. The apartment is compact, yet well adapted, with plenty of space for 3-4 people. It is well equipped with fridge, oven, microwave, washing machine and very effective air conditioning, which was a must have in August! The apartment was very quiet, with a shared external terrace, which was seldom used by the residents. There are two bedrooms on mezzanine levels, each with its own en-suite bathroom with shower. Each bedroom is accessed by its own staircase, one if which is rather steep, so perhaps not ideal for those with mobility issues.

Well-equipped apartment! From the window and from the sunny terrace you can see the gondolas! WLAN is outstanding. The apartment is located in a quiet dead end, but only a few steps from restaurants, shops, and major landmarks. Everything has worked out perfectly! Thank you! (Translated)

Dear Daniela, Our time in Venice was truly enchanting From the moment we arrived. You and your colleagues were the catalysts for this splendid visit and I well remember you meeting our water taxi in front of the Danieli Hotel and accompanying us to our beautiful apartment just several meters away. The next weeks are permanently recorded as satisfying memories that we review on a daily basis. We cannot wait to return and we ask you to find another perfect setting for us next year. Warm regards,
Alicia and Darryl (United States)
Daniela We were very impressed with your website, Tomasseo and your service. The website was attractive, easy to navigate and we found that the photos were an accurate representation of our apartment. Making bookings and paying a significant deposit over the internet is always a worry but we were re-assured with your pre-stay service and the security system Truly Venice has in place. Another concern was our arrival but Paolo rang us on the ferry and he met us just we arrived. He was very welcoming and helpful. Your attention to our needs when we were there, such as the jammed door to the terrace was very satisfying. Overall, we found the apartment to be very clean comfortable, well-equipped, and excellent value for money. Thank you for facilitating our 10 stay in Venice - we loved every minute (especially the serenading gondolieri paddling below our window) and we have thoroughly recommended Truly Venice to our friends.
