This spot gives you a great perspective onto the Frari Church on the left, one of the most important and ancient in Venice, and the historical buildings facing the Campo on the right. A typical Canaletto setting, one of the most picturesque you can find.
The area is very central and well serviced, not too crowded but active both culturally and socially. The neighbourhood is much loved by Venetian residents. The San Polo District is known for the many good traditional restaurants and cafés, the very ancient and most fascinating buildings, the attractive Rialto Market where you can buy the best seafood and produce.
The Frari is a third and top-floor apartment full of natural light that features high wooden beamed ceiling and nice parquet flooring. This apartment is very well laid out to maximally optimize space. The first bedroom has a big built-in wardrobe where you can store many luggage, the second bedroom is part of the living room but can be separated with a well thought sliding door. Please see the pictures in the gallery for further reference. Some closet space is provided also in the second bedroom. In the living room there is also a comfortable sofa-bed in case you need three separate beds. The kitchen and the cupboards of the living room are spacious enough to store necessary pots, pans, utensils, plates, cutlery, glasses.
When opening the windows on both sides of the house you can enjoy a nice breeze that keeps the apartment cool also during the hottest days. The Frari apartment is equipped with air conditioning, Wi-Fi internet connection, flat screen TV, DVD player, washing machine, 4 burners gas stove, oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, kettle, etc.

The Frari apartment is located in a central and quit location, right next to the Basilica di Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari and overlooks the Campo dei Frari. It's an ideal starting point to visit the main points of interest in Venice and because it is tucked away in a side street, it is very quiet. The Frari apartment is clean and comfortable, and there is a well-equipped kitchen if one wants to do any cooking. The Truly Venice staff is very friendly and helpful.

Located in the center of Venice near the Frari church (thus its name). Fully equipped (a/c, wi-fi, kitchen, Tv etc). 2 big bedrooms + living room with open-able sofa. Great view to the Frari square, and occasionally waking up to the sound of opera singers...oh and the hosts are the best!!!
September 2013, Saar (Israel) A truly Venice experience! We really enjoyed staying in this apartment! It is so clean and bright and open. We really felt a part of the culture of Venice in this neighbourhood. For us the location was perfect - close enough to all parts of Venice with easy and beautiful walks to the Rialto and the Accademia. We are happily recommending the Truly Venice experience and apartments to our friends who will be visiting next year, and of course we will be back to stay with you again.
Perfect location to explore Venice. Our stay at Frari was perfect. The location is ideal to explore Venice and each day we got to use the traghetto at St Toma which was a thrill each time. The apartment was modern with all the facilities we needed, including washing machine. Very nearby is a convenience store and there are plenty of small bakers and cafes close to the apartment. The picture used showing the square from the window of Frari perfectly captures the view you wake up to each day. Fantastic!
There is not enough room here to write how perfect this apartment is. 3rd floor of a rock solid old building right on a lovely piazzale 100 feet from the Frari church. Nobody above, with never a peep from anyone below. Air conditioners and closed shutters and windows make a lovely, quiet, cool night of sleep. Open the windows and cool, fresh, clean Venetian air blows through beautifully. Everything one needs is in the apartment; it all works perfectly. The beds are comfortable. The shower is excellent, and the clothes washer does its job well. Fabulous location for seeing Venice. Less than 400 meters to the San Toma vaporetto and traghetto. Piazzale below has constant traffic, but nowhere near the mobs of the rest of Venice, and for some reason, very quiet. Maybe the grandeur of the gorgeous Frari church inhibits noise; but, it is quiet. The views out the windows are just beautiful of buildings, spires and the piazzale. From which, by the way, beautiful music from trios, quartets and accordionists softly wafts up from late morning to late afternoon. It is almost magical. There is a smaller supermarket less than 200 yards away. To walk to it one crosses one of the best restaurants in Venice, the Muro. 100 meters to the left is one of the, if not the best, gelato shops in Venice right next door to a pizza stand where this world traveler ate the best pizza in his life. A new coffee shop that opens at 6 am with an incredible variety of offerings is less than 50 meters from the apartment. Words can't describe the beauty of having the Frari church and the Scuola San Rocco less than 200 meters from your door. The art, the building, and the weekly music each offers is spectacular. Daniela and her Truly-Venice team are absolutely tops and professional in everything. You can trust Daniela. The best thing I can say is this: we are counting the days until we can plan to return to magical and beautiful Venice, and stay in the same place.
