Located at the beginning of the authentic and lively Via Garibaldi, only 2 minutes’ walk to the Arsenale Vaporetto stop, this fascinating attic is bright, airy and quiet.
This area of the Castello District is now in high demand between connoisseurs, artists and true Venetians because of its genuineness and antique historical heritage. This is the oldest part of the city, where everything started more than a millennium ago and still today it is preserved almost integrally. The Serenissima Republic built here the Arsenale in the XII Century, which made the city state the most influential maritime power of the world for centuries.
Beside the rich cultural heritage, in this area recently opened a variety of good and inexpensive local bars and restaurants. Last but not least, during the Biennale period this area becomes the centre of the creative and alternative artists community, exhibiting at Corderie dell’Arsenale, Giardini della Biennale and in many collateral events organized by its vibrant community.
The terrace is by far the highlight of the property: the view that you can enjoy from here is simply stunning. On clear days you can spot the Dolomites on the north; San Marco, the Salute Church and San Giorgio Island on the west; the Venetian Lagoon and the Lido Island on the south. The sunny Altana (traditional wooden roof-top terrace) is furnished with a table and 4 chairs which is perfect for a relaxing breakfast or an aperitif at sunset.
It is composed of a large loft-style living and dining area with nice steel kitchen, a double bedroom with large wardrobe, a luminous bathroom with shower cabin and a small mezzanine located between the living room and the terrace, accessible through the easy-to-climb spiral staircase that leads to the Altana. The mezzanine is very cosy: here you can find a futon bed with plenty of pillows, which you can use as a reading corner. The sofa-bed in the living room is as comfortable as a normal bed and can easily be opened and closed, so during the day you can use the living space freely.
The high-tech kitchen features a professional 5 gas burners stove, large fridge, dishwasher, freezer, gas oven, kettle, etc. The amenities of this apartment include washing machine, Wi-Fi, air conditioning in the living area, independent heating system, Smart TV and Sonos sound system.
Please mind that the open space staircase is not suitable for children below 4 years old unless they are used to such stairs. The apartment is not recommended for people with limited mobility, as the last part of the stairway is quite steep. The Arsenale Terrace is perfect for a couple that wishes plenty of living space and comfort but it can comfortably host 3 people. It is full of light during all day and has everything you need for an unforgettable holiday. It truly makes you feel at home away from home!

It is the best place if you want to spend a romantic vacation in Venice, the roof terrace has an amazing view over the city, breakfasts or drinks at sunset up there are heavenly, the rooms are very nicely decorated and everything one might need is available. The location is perfect if one likes to have a bit of distance to the crowded inner city but it is close and easy enough to reach the sights within 10 min. Great restaurants and bars are in the area and all Biennale goers will love the vicinity. I will definatly rent this place again, for my next Venice trip.

A great location, view of the city from the terrace, just gorgeous. To emphasize is the generous concession to check out later. we felt very comfortable in this beautiful apartment, stylish, artistic. Perfect for a visit to the Biennale. If we travel to Venice again, I will definitely choose one of these great apartments from truly.

A place to be!

A beautiful apartment with a fantastic panoramic view over the skyline of Venice. The ARSENALE TERRACE apartment has a fantastic location: just a few meters away from the "Canale di San Marco" in a small, quiet side street between the Vaporetto stops "Arsenale" and "Giardini" in the beautiful district "Castello". On the quayside you can quickly get to the "Piazza San Marco", but also to the quieter district of Sant Elena with the "Biennale Internazionale d'Arte" and beautiful parks to relax. The apartment is on the top floor and has two levels with a typical roof balcony, the Altana. Here you can enjoy Venice with a great panoramic view. The apartment has a great modern kitchen with everything you need. Everything is very stylish and lovingly furnished with a great sense of art and authenticity. We felt very comfortable here from the start and were able to enjoy Venice. The mediation of the apartment by Truly Venice went perfectly. We were warmly welcomed by the representative Enrico at the vaporetto stop Arsenale at the appointed arrival time and received many good insider tips. If you had any questions, both - the local representative and the Truly Venice Staff - were always available quickly. Both - an earlier check-in and a later check-out - were unproblematic on request. Many thanks again to the entire Truly Venice Team - Daniela, Enrico, Claudia and all the others! We have already passed on our recommendation.

Lovely apartment, spectacular views. Truly Venice very helpful and a pleasure to book with. The apartment had everything you needed, it was an extra nice touch to have coffee, oil, chocolates and other stuff left for us. You must give yourself time to spend on the terrace with the view! Beware lots of steps up to the apartment but they were worth the walk. Would recommend and love to stay here again. Thanks for a wonderful break.

Unbeknownst to my girlfriend, I had been planning to propose to her in this apartment for months. I found it for its view, that from its terrace we would be able to see the infamous fireworks of Redentore, framed between the towers of San Marco and San Giorgio Maggiore, and with the help of the staff I began to concoct a plan. After a long day of walking around the city and enjoying the festivities, when our feet could hardly take anymore, we returned to the apartment in order to change for a formal dinner reservation. There, waiting to greet us, was Anna, who had decorated the apartment with candles and flowers and prepared a four course meal. I invited my girlfriend to change and to meet me on the terrace and there, at sunset, with the lights of Venice below us and surrounded by the lightning and rain of a sudden summer storm, I proposed. (She said 'yes', by the way.) It is the favourite memory of our lives, due in no small part to the behind-the-scenes preparation of some amazing people. The service and communication from Daniela was always supportive and professional, the greeting and subsequent attendance to our needs from Vittoria was lovely, and the food and company provided by Anna on the special night was never intrusive and always delicious. We are both very grateful to everyone involved for their efforts in making our stay magical and memorable. The apartment itself, by the way, is spectacular, and should come with a warning: very difficult to leave.

Recently stayed at the Arsenale Terrace for 3 nights and we can highly recommend it! We booked direct with Truly Venice and have to say it was seamless from start to finish. Communication was excellent and the staff there couldn’t have been more helpful. Upon arrival, we were met by Thomas who walked us 2 mins from the water taxi drop off point to the apartment. The apartment itself is spectacular and the balcony/view is awesome. Extremely well presented, clean, excellently furnished and in a fabulous location in a more residential area away from the crowds. That said, it is only a short 5 min walk to Piazza San Marco etc and within easy reach of water taxis. There are numerous bars/restaurants close by and a supermarket. The team at Truly Venice are extremely professional and on hand to assist in any way they can. Daniela kindly arranged a private water taxi transfer back to the airport for us at short notice. There is plenty of accommodation in Venice but we can’t recommend this apartment enough and will definitely return. Do not hesitate in checking out the Truly Venice website!

Absolutely first class company. Seamless service from initial enquiry to leaving Venice. We were met by Thomas at the water taxi drop off where he walked us 2mins to the apartment (Arsenale Terrace) and explained the area/facilities. Description of the property on the website is accurate but was even better in real life. Fantastic service from Daniela too who booked our return water taxi with no hassle at short notice. Overall, an extremely professional & reliable company. Would definitely recommend.

This was our first time in Venice and I travelled with my husband for a special wedding anniversary therefore we wanted to treat ourselves to somewhere special and this place truly met our expectations. The accommodation is lovely, spacious yet comfortable and the roof terrace really meant you could sit in comfort at your own pace and see across Venice without leaving the front door. I would have been happy to sit here drinking coffee and sipping prosecco all day. The apartment is very close to a supermarket, a main street where the locals shop and it is an easy 15-20 minute stroll to the heart of Venice. It is also very close to the Giadini and Arsenale if you are wanting to visit the Biennale it is within a 5 minute walk. Be warned we spent two days here alone altough it was well worth it. We preferred to venture into central Venice at night when the streets were less crowded. I would like to thank Hannah for coming to meet us and welcoming us to Venice, it really made us feel at home and reassured that if we had needed it help would have been near at hand. I would recommend Truly Venice rentals to anyone and would love to return to this accommodation should circumstances allow.
