San Marco Square and the Rialto Bridge can be reached in only 5 minutes’ walk: the location is absolutely central. This is one of our favourite areas of Venice historical centre, close to the main tourist attractions but still very quiet and well serviced by local shops and restaurants as well as supermarkets.
Some of the main landmarks found in the surroundings are the Basilica Santi Giovanni e Paolo, Palazzo Grimani and Fondazione Querini Stampalia, the Rialto Market and the Bridge of Sights, besides the renowned treasures of Basilica di San Marco and the Palazzo Ducale.
The lay-out of the Canaletto apartment is well designed, with a central entrance corridor connecting the bright and airy living room facing south, the large master bedroom with luxury en-suite bathroom, the second bedroom also with en-suite bathroom. The beautiful kitchen is screened from the living room but is part of the same spacious open-space, where you can find also a nice wooden table and six designer chairs. Simple and rational. The caring landlord gave particular importance to functionality and aesthetic of kitchen and bathrooms. The Canaletto really meets the expectations of the most demanding guests.
The apartment has specific features inherited by the original structure such as wooden beamed ceilings and tall French-windows opening on large balconies offering the most beautiful canal view you can dream of. During the recent restoration the landlord tastefully blended these historical elements with up-to-date furniture and appliances, in order to maximize the comfort. The equipment of the Canaletto includes air conditioning in every room, Wi-Fi internet connection, wide TV with international channels, DVD player, dishwasher, oven, microwave, kettle, 4 burners gas stoves, large fridge and freezer, etc.

This apartment is wonderful and in a great neighborhood. It is situated where 3 canals converge allowing for a great view. The apartment was fitted out with everything we needed including lots of fluffy towels and a combo washer/dryer which one day I will figure out how to operate! The kitchen had everything you need. The living spaces are roomy and light filled and it's a joy to hear and watch the gondolas go by throughout the day. Both bedrooms were fine for 2 adult couples. The neighborhood is great - equidistant between two lovely campo's. Everything you need is nearby - grocery stores, restaurant's, butchers, bakeries, transit stops etc. Truly Venice is a wonderful company who we have previously stayed with in Venice. Veronica and her team are so helpful, answer all of your questions promptly and arrange for transport to and from airport. Anna, who met us at the taxi was great. One advisement - the apartment is 5 floors up so if you have trouble with stairs it may not be for you. You can trust any apartment that Truly Venice manages to meet your needs and exceed your expectations.

October 2024, Michael (USA) This is the ULTIMATE Venice apartment. You definitely cannot find better. The location is what makes this number one. It is close to Rialto and a short walk to San Marco Square yet located in a quiet area away from the busy crowds. Everything you can want or need is a short stroll from the apartment - grocery stores, vegetable/fruit markets, restaurants, wine bars and not to be missed Gelateria Su So. The stairs to the apartment are easy to navigate—even for two 70+ year old travelers and allow for astonishing views. The beautiful balconies overlook two smaller canals with gondoliers singing and the magnificence of Venetian life before your eyes. This high-end designer styled apartment is very well-appointed, extremely modern yet maintains Venetian Old World charm. It is extremely clean, comfortable and spacious. The superior bedding and amazingly comfortable pillows gave us the ultimate sleep. The two modern bathrooms with excellent showers and water pressure exceed expectations. Truly Venice provides outstanding customer services and quality accommodations. This is the third time we stayed in Truly Venice apartments. They are excellent communicators and always provided a representative that met us at the water taxi or vaporetto stop. The representative walks you to the apartment, points out attractions and services along the way and provides an orientation to the apartment. We definitely will stay at this apartment on our next visit. Truly Venice exclusive rentals comes with our highest recommendation, you CANNOT do better.
Such a lovely apartment in a lovely part of Venice. The apartment is modern, spacious and well equipped, and the air conditioning worked well (which we needed as Venice was very hot!). There was a pasticceria and many other shops nearby. The view from the window is also delightful, with gondolas serenely floating past. Magical!
This apartment was wonderful. It was perfectly appointed with everything our family of four needed. It was clean, comfortable, well decorated and quiet. Importantly, the apartment was spacious and peaceful after full days of sightseeing. It is well-located (about 10 mins walk from St. Mark's Square) with lots of good restaurants and shopping nearby.

This beautiful apartment was absolutely perfect for myself, husband and three children aged 13, 12 and 6. The host was ready to greet us even though it was quite late in the evening. The apartment was on the 4th floor so a lot of steps up but easy if your family is full of energy. A great location, 10min walk to Rialto Bridge and 12mins in the opposite direction for the main water bus stations. Lovely restaurants in the surrounding areas. The apartment itself was so beautifully decorated to a very high standard, a calming, clean and fresh feel throughout the whole apartment with two balconies leading out to views of the canals. The kitchen was beautiful, it had everything we could have needed. The master bedroom was spacious with ample storage. The second bedroom had its own ensuite which was great. The main bathroom was large and had a neat utility space tucked nicely away with lots of extra fresh towels, laundry tabs, an iron and a clothes horse. The entire apartment was equipped with much needed air conditioning. Overall, a beautiful accommodation in Venice and would highly recommend.

We have just returned after celebrating a special birthday, and it was an amazing place to stay. Close to everything but peaceful and quiet after a busy day to just sit and watch the gondolas go by. This apartment ticks every box. It’s on a little canal in a relatively untourist area, the canal is used by gondolas with some gondoliers singing, very magical. The apartment is wonderful though it does have 68 steps to climb to get to it, super fit by the end of our 10day stay. This apartment has everything you need to make you feel at home. It’s beautifully kept and very clean. Loved the French doors opening onto the little canal. It’s also very close to lovely restaurants. We will definitely return to this apartment in 2020.

A wonderful location near all the main sights. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. The apartment was modern, well appointed with a lovely canal view. Good arrangements for water taxi to and from airport and a meet and greet service to hand over keys for apartment.
The pictures do not do the quality of the apartment justice. It is in a perfect location just 7 minutes walk to St Marks square but in a quiet area with excellent shops and restaurants within a short walk. The nearby squares are off the usual tourist routes which makes them great for a drink/meal. If you arrive by private water taxi you only have a few minutes walk. It is quite a few floors up but the view is amazing and it was a real treat at the end of the day to sit on the balcony and watch and listen to the gondolas go by. I just wish we had stayed longer. Truly Venice were excellent throughout the booking and I would definitely use them again.
The apartment, though more expensive than some, is worth every penny. St Marks is walkable in 10 to 15 mins but it is located in a relatively quiet area and we arrived to the sound of gondoliers singing in the canal below. The rooms are fantastic and so are the facilities. What made our holiday was our English host who had lived in Venice for many years and pointed us to three fantastic restaurants that were all really close by and not over priced. We walked everywhere and would recommend going to the Bienalle if you ever get the chance
Loved the apartment .... nice layout, bathrooms, charming view of the canal and gondoliers....but it is not for anyone who can't deal with stairs -- 72, I think. Great location between Rialto and San Marco, shopping, restaurants and museums all around.

I rented the Canaletto apartment with my husband, and it was the perfect apartment for us. Beautifully furnished, clearly lovingly designed and end result was a very chic but warm place from which to discover Venice. The apartment is on a route where gondolas like to go and it added a lot to the magic of being in Venice. The view was really important to us. The location was perfect. You are not in the crazy busy part of Venice yet it was easy to walk everywhere, even with our children. Two supermarkets nearby made this also convenient. The reception of our family from the water taxi was great. We also had an issue with electricity going off one day and it took less than half an hour when the nice man came to look into it. Great personable service. This apartment was really wonderful to come to after a day of exploring. Great value for money too. Big thanks to Truly Venice for the great service throughout, and to the owner of Canaletto for a superb job of creating such a beautiful, cosy apartment. For us it was perfect!
