We were a group of 9 and took all 4 apartments. The Palazzo Alighieri (composed of Alighieri A, B, C & D) has been recently renovated with modern kitchens and marble bathrooms. Each apartment had it's own well-equipped kitchen and sitting room. Free WiFi. One apartment had a very large kitchen and sitting/dinning room which we used as our communal area. Beautiful views over surrounds and canal. The laundry on the ground floor was excellent. There was also a sauna that we didn't get time to use. The outside verandah and rooftop was lovely for an afternoon drink. This spacious Palazzo exceeded our expectations. The location not far from St Marks was great. We found Truly Venice an excellent company to deal with and would not hesitate to use them again.

Palazzo Alighieri was a wonderful home base, indeed an oasis, for my entire family during our stay. We rented all 4 apartments, A, B, C, and D. Apt A was a wonderful and modern equipped efficiency apartment, great for a single or couple. Apt B was grand and beautifully furnished, with a large bedroom and huge en-suite bathroom, a semi-private second bedroom area with additional bath, huge dining room and living room, and substantial kitchen, with gorgeous views looking over the Rio San Lorenzo Canal and surrounding area. We originally had assigned the beautiful and historic corner bedroom to my mother (our 84 year old matriarch), who then decided to switch rooms with her niece because mom prefers a shower to a large bath! The kitchen was thoroughly modern & equipped, and the kitchen and dining/living room of Apt B was my family's main gathering area. Apt C was a two bedroom/two bath apartment with its own self contained kitchen and dining area. Apt D was again two bedroom/two bath with a half bath in the hallway, with an additional loft for teenagers or an additional couple. It had a lovely kitchen with living room around a central island bar. Each apartment could operate autonomously if you are traveling with a group of friends, or you can rent them all for a large family gathering. A double decker terrace off of the central hall linking all 4 apartments provided exceptional views of the Castello neighborhood rooftops, as well as a great gathering place for adults to take an aperitif after a hard day of tourist visits. We were 15 people, 9 adults and 6 children, and we fit comforatbly with plenty of private space and no crowded effects. The air-conditioning was a delightful comfort when returning home during the heat wave of our days there. And each unit provided exceptional privacy, but also a collective gathering place for all 15 of us. It is a delightful set of suites which I will happily recommend to everyone I know who may want an exceptional stay in Venice. I would love to return on my next visit to La Serenissima! Thomas provided us with a wonderful welcome and superb orientation to our neighborhood. At his recommendation, we had Gelato at our neighborhood Gelato store almost everyday, and were able to navigate the vaporetto system easily. Thanks again for the professionalism and excellent service of Truly Venice. I hope to use you again.

When we chose Venice for our family reunion, we despaired about finding an ideal location for fifteen people for eight nights -- in high season! Truly Venice answered our dreams and more by suggesting the four apartments of Palazzo Alighieri. We were two grandparents, four adult children and their spouses, five grandchildren aged 12 - 21, and the site gave us all room to spread out, have privacy, gather for late night conversation, and more. Apartment C in particular suited a family of four. It's carefully furnished, light and cheerful, with lovely views. Privacy suits this group, so the apartment, slightly around a corner from others, was perfect. We used apartment B as our social space and gathering spot, with the grandparents in the large bedroom and one teenage in the sofa bed. It was ideal, with its large sofa and dining table in the spacious and gracious "salone". Apartment A housed one couple very comfortably, while D held two couples with two young adults happily up in the comfy loft. And the terrace! Venice was HOT and quite crowded, but the terrace with its umbrella was where everyone gravitated after a long day sightseeing. We can't say enough positive things about our stay. The location is ideal, far enough from San Marco to be quiet, but close enough for daily treks. Many fine restaurants are close by, but again away from the tourist fray. The Truly Venice team made our planning and arrival easy and stress free, anticipating our questions and our needs at every step. Thank you!
