The furniture is rather minimalist, comfortable and functional. This apartment has a spacious living room with tall arched neoclassical windows, a comfortable double pull-out sofa bed and a table for 4-6 people. There is air conditioning in the living room and bedroom, wireless internet connection. The kitchen is spacious and fully equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee maker and 4 burners gas stove. There is a large bedroom with a king size bed that can be separated in two single beds on requested. The bathroom has a spacious shower cabin.
This apartment is easy to access, only 2 minutes’ walk to the Rialto Mercato Vaporetto stop and located at the first floor of a beautiful 17th century historic building. The entrance door at the ground floor is used exclusively by this apartment hence maximum privacy is guaranteed.
This apartment is perfect for those who like to experience a romantic holiday on the Grand Canal, or those who are curious to try the delicious Venetian cuisine, either cooking at home the fresh produce available at the Rialto Market close by, or dining at the many fine restaurants found in the San Polo District.
San Polo is a maze of quiet Calli (lanes) and pleasant Campi (little squares). One of the most important places of this district is Campo San Polo, the second widest square of the city after St. Mark’s Square, where local children and pets can run around and play games while adults chat, in summer there is an open-air cinema, in winter an ice-skating ring.
San Polo is known for its fine but reasonably priced Osterie and Bacari (informal traditional restaurants and bars) where you can find locals and connoisseurs. This district is in fact not touristy at all, exception made for the area of the Rialto Bridge, where the busy and colourful Rialto Market takes place every morning (Sundays excluded).

Our stay at Alba D'Oro could not have been more pleasant, and Truly Venice made everything simple. The apartment itself is just as represented (yes, the view of the Canal is really that amazing) and very comfortable. We didn't make much use of the kitchen...except for the Nespresso machine...but it appeared well equipped. We were thankful for the washer and dryer which enabled us to pack far less than we otherwise might have. The location is very central...and crowded as you move toward the RIalto...but moving in any other direction gets you quickly onto less traveled byways. The entrance is a private one and takes you up a flight of stairs to the apartment. Those stairs are steepish...not a problem for us, but something to keep in mind if you have any mobility issues. Overall, a wonderful week. We will certainly reach out to Truly Venice when we return.

This apartment is perfect. Clean, stylish, well located and all you’d want. Had its own entry from ground and about 15 steepish stairs to the kitchen. There is a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. Was unseasonably cold when we visited but the heating was superb. Very quick to warm. Lovely sitting dining area with windows opening to the Grand Canal and directly opposite Ca D’Oro. Located near the market and the famous Rialto bridge. Was quiet at night. Bed was comfy and linen and towels good. Only one bedroom so great for a couple but there is use of a sofa bed in the living area for 1-2 more people. The service was excellent…check in ( met at Rialto Mercato Vaporetto stop) and out easy ( keys left on table). Instruction book extremely helpful. I had misfortune to have a filling fall out and Truly Venice responded within 1.5 hours with 3 different English speaking Dental surgeries with directions. They also sent details of the forthcoming day tripper tax, a month before I left home and how to apply for exemption. I highly recommend this apartment and the service of Truly Venice. I would definitely use them again when we are back in 2 years time.

The location was wonderful. Right on the Grand Canal and close to the Rialto Bridge. We were within walking distance of restaurants, shops, the vaperetto (water bus) and several other locations. The place was very clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable and lovely sheets. It was a large place with a well stocked kitchen and windows that opened up onto the Grand Canal. Lovely place. I would definitely stay here again.

A bientot... Venise etant un beaume contre tous les soucis.

The appartement is really nice and well furnished with an amazing view on the Grand Canal. It is very quiet during the night. Close to the market, you can easily buy your fresh bread and chees for the breakfast. We certainly will return.

There is nothing to fail regarding the apartment. Beautiful views outside the window, central location, proximity to most places in the city. The vaporetto stop, central market just outside the door. We were met by Truly Venice representatives on vaporetto stop and shown to our apartment. All expected amenities in place - heating, aircon, oven, microwave, even kettle! We stayed in the apartment for two weeks. Any queries were promptly answered using a direct phone line. The interior is very close to the traditional palazzo one. We even had an artist to come and paint a picture with us in interior. Not saying that we had painted a number of plein air painting ourselves. All without even leaving the apartment.

We spent a wonderful week in Venice in early August 2019 in this lovely apartment which was recommended by close friends who had stayed there several times and were extremely happy with it. We were a little apprehensive about all the arrangements working out properly but everything worked perfectly. The Truly Venice people were very responsive to our requests for information prior to our arrival. Before and during our stay they were easily contactable by email and phone and text which made us feel secure in the arrangements. We requested to pay in advance by electronic bank transfer and that worked well. At our request they arranged a water taxi from the train to the apartment and later to the airport when we left. When we arrived a person was waiting to meet us at the water taxi which stopped a few meters from the apartment. We did not even have to walk over a bridge. On our request they arranged a porter to carry our (too heavy) luggage down the apartment stairs to the water taxi when we left. Being English speaking ourselves we were delighted to find their English communication very good. The apartment was on the first floor up a flight of stairs. It is spacious, airy and light with wooden floors. It felt relaxing being there. It has good air conditioning. The large lounge/dining room has 2 large windows that look directly onto the grand canal as in the website photo. It was a magical experience. The bedroom was spacious and bed comfortable. The bathroom was spacious with a walk-in shower which was welcome for us. The kitchen had everything necessary plus a washing machine and iron. The apartment was very clean. Being on the grand canal and with people walking along it, we wondered about noise. We were surprised to find that with the windows closed it was very quiet at night and we slept well and undisturbed. We felt safe and secure in the apartment. The position is fantastic. It’s right beside the Rialto markets and the line 1 Rialto Mercato vaparetto water bus stop. There are lots of restaurants in the same and nearby streets. It was very much less congested with tourists compared to other areas. It’s easy walking and boat rides to anywhere in Venice. We have recommended this to friends and would definitely stay there again.

Apartment AlbaD’Oro was perfect exactly as Truly Venice had shown. Everything was spotless, all appliances worked, the bed was wonderfully comfortable and the bed lining crisp and fresh. Constant hot water with a shower that worked well and of course the view were the icing on the cake. This apartments location was great with water buses and a lovely food market on its doorstep. Thank you soooo much Truly Venice for great communication whilst planning my holiday and for being at the apartment to welcome me on my arrival. Venice didn’t disappoint. We stayed for a week and had a fabulous time. Although we had no problems I felt confident Truly Venice were there to help if needed.

This was our sixth year staying in this lovely 1-bedroom apartment, located in the same palazzo as the Hotel Orologio, 100 yards from the Rialto Markets, with a great view of the Grand Canal. The apartment -- one flight of stairs up from the street -- has been modernized, and it is very livable, but with old-world features, including the date 1843 in mosaic on the floor in the entry. We cannot imagine a lovelier place from which to discover the most delightful city of Venice.

In perfect position with a stunning view of the grand canal and its daily activities. A comfortable apartment, beautifully clean and decorated with Italian style. Next to he market so making home cooked meals was a pleasure in the fully equipt kitchen.

Alba d'Oro is in the most extraordinary position, on the edge of the Grand Canal with a view of the glorious façade of Ca d'Oro straight ahead, and the fish market to the right. Constant delight to watch the light change on the water and the buildings throughout the day. Extremely easy to access, the waterbus stop of Rialto Mercato is only a five minute walk. The flat itself is beautifully decorated, well-equipped, warm and comfortable. Any questions or problems we had during our stay were dealt with quickly and efficiently by Truly Venice's local team. Absolutely excellent and highly recommendable.

Clean, spacious, nicely appointed and decorated. Private and quiet with an amazing view! Directly acrosss from Ca’ Doro and Ca’Sagredo. Two spectacular palazzos on the Grand Canal!!
September 2018, Keith (Australia)
We loved our home in Venice! Perfect location and amazing view watching Venetian life on the Grand Canal. The apartment was clean, with everything we needed. Would definitely stay there again.
June 2018, Linda (Australia)
Alba d'Oro is a one-bedroom first floor (one up from the street) flat in a palazzo that also houses the new Hotel L'Orologio on a quiet street on the south side of the Grand Canal 350 feet west of the Rialto Markets. In other words, it is perfectly located for someone wishing to see Venice as a vacation spot for a week or more, rather than on a two-day tour where you rush from sight to sight. The Rialto Bridge is a 3-minute walk, the Doge's Palace and the Piazza are a 12-minute walk, and the neighborhood is relatively quiet and has all the shops and restaurants you need within a 5-minute walk. The flat itself has been updated, and is completely serviceable. Oh, and the view out the two large living room windows is worth the journey; my wife stand there with our morning coffee or our evening drink (or any other moment of the day) watching the world go by -- and in Venice, it all goes by boat. Deliveries of just everything take place on the dock just outside the windows. This was our 6th stay in this flat, and we wouldn't go anywhere else. The rooms are spacious; the kitchen has what you need and it works; even the shower is fully enclosed and has all the hot water you need. This flat really is an ideal romantic getaway. oh, and charming -- a mosaic in the entry floor discloses that one renovation was in.....1831. It really is cool.

Alba d'Oro is our favourite holiday apartment in the world! We loved watching traffic on the Grand Canal at all times of the day and night, shopping at Rialto Mercato, cooking in the apartment and having drinks in nearby bars. Everything is so spotlessly clean and staying for 10 days meant that we had cleaning and a full linen change half-way through. This was our second stay in three years at Alba D'Oro and we wouldn't want to stay anywhere else on future visits to Venice.
October 2017, Lizzy (Australia)
This apartment was spacious and beautiful with original wide plank floors, original beamed ceilings, and big windows that open onto the breathtaking views and sounds of the Grand Canal. Everything I read said to stay away from staying in San Marco during the month of August. We are so glad we took that advice. The apartment is a four minute walk to the Rialto bridge but it feels a world away from the crowds of tourists on the streets. The bedroom was spacious with good closet and drawer space. The kitchen and bathroom as well were clean, new, spacious, and well equipped. The decor is elegant and the furniture comfortable. The Murano glass chandeliers hanging from the high beamed ceilings gave the rooms an authentic Veneziana touch. We highly recommend this apartment and hope it is as well kept and comfortable when we return.

Dear Everyone, I have been home now for 5 weeks and have meant to write this letter everyday. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for everything. From the start you have all been wonderful to deal with. Very prompt and nothing was ever a problem. Even your cleaning staff were lovely. checking in and out was a breeze. I spent 26 nights in your Alba D'Oro apartment and just adored it. It was so pretty and being able to look out the windows every day and night at such a stunning view was amazing. I felt safe all the time in and out of my apartment. It is such a beautiful area San polo and it was great to get to know it. I have showed a lot of people the photos of my apartment and recommended your company and apartments to anyone who will listen... Thank you again

The apartment was terrific -- clean, updated, with everything one needs for two weeks (or a lifetime). It has a Grand Canal view, and is 500' from the Rialto markets. So, getting everywhere is convenient, and shopping was a dream. The apartment was well-serviced (spotless), and well equipped; the greeter was punctual, knowledgeable and most helpful. This was our 15th vacation in Venice, and the facilities and service were the very best. I cannot say enough positive about the agency and the apartment. And, we are fussy.

To begin, we greatly enjoyed our stay in the apartment Alba D’Oro! The apartment is very well-located, just close enough to the action without having the crowds and noise. The apartment, bedding, dishes, the bathroom were very clean. The kitchen is well equipped to cook; believe me I cook for a living. The contact person on site took the time to explain the functioning of the apartment and even provide us with a map to locate grocery, restaurant etc. If one day I have the chance to return to Venice, I would stay with Truly Venice! Merci!

We are already making plans to come back for a month and stay here. Right by an amazing market. Quiet but close to everything. Beautiful view on the grand canal.
March 2016, Mike (United States)
My wife and I have stayed in Alba D'Oro for the last half-dozen years, and we are thrilled to have found this perfect one-bedroom flat with the living room windows overlooking the Grand Canal opposite the Ca D'Oro, only one block from the Rialto Markets, and less than 10 minutes from St. Mark's Square. In an 1853 remodel of a Palazzo adjacent to the Hotel L'Orologio, you are up one original flight of stairs into a delightfully preserved (walls, ceiling, floor) but redone (windows, plumbing, electrical) building in a location you can't beat. The kitchen is properly equipped; the bath spacious and functional; the bedroom has 2 windows, a king bed, and adequate storage; and the living/dining room is spacious and comfortably furnished (good reading chairs and lighting). The price is quite reasonable for a view of the Grand Canal.

Wonderful apartment! We spent a week at alba D'Oro in Venice, and we enjoyed the whole experience. The location, very close to the Rialto Mercato vaporetto stop, is perfect for walking everywhere. The apartment is beautiful and overlooks the Grand Canal. The rooms are large and beautifully furnished. The bed is comfortable and there is plenty of storage space. The kitchen is great, and we made a number of meals using the Rialto market to supply us. Truly Venice was very easy to work with. Both deposit and final payment could be made by credit card. They also have a complete book of instructions located in apartment. Every rental agency should do this. It can be very difficult to remember how to operate the washing machine after getting verbal instructions days earlier! The book also includes sightseeing suggestions as well as recommended restaurants. This is our "return to" apartment in Venice!

Brilliant and beautiful This is the second time we have used Truly Venice for accomodation in Venice and again the didnot disappoint. The company is extremely professional and courteous from the booking arrangements to being met at our apartment, nothing is a bother. The apartments are well maintained and contain everything that is needed, especially in the kitchen, from cutlery to condiments to coffee makers. Our stay this time at apartment alba D'Oro was faultless. The accomodation was excellent and the view and location, priceless. I will use this company again and have recommended it to many people. Thankyou Daniela for another wonderful Venetian experience.

Magical views set the scene for a wonderful 9 days The experience from the water taxi pickup at the airport to the greeting at the canal side to the apartment - were all first rate. The apartment is spacious, the views from the lounge extraordinary and location first rate. The Rialto markets are 5 minutes away, and have great seafood and fruit and vegetables. Nothing to criticise.
May 2013, Judy (Australia)
We could not fault this Grand Canal apartment. It was very clean and spacioous and ideally located. The fish and produce markets were right next door and the views were spectacular. We were there in the middle of winter and were grateful that the heating was so efficient given it was at times below zero degrees at night. Thank you to the staff at Truly Venice who was most welcoming and helpful showing us through the apartment. Can highly recommend the water taxi pick up and drop off service. We even hired it or a two hour trip to Murano and Burano in his water taxi. When we are next in Venice we will definitely rent through Truly Venice. Thank you for helping make our 5 nights in Venice so memorable and comfortable!!!
February 2013, Jay (Australia)
Just wanted to thank you for another wonderful Venetian experience. This is now the third time we have rented Alba d'Oro from you and we truly love the place. We hope that it remains available for many years to come. My sister visited us for a day while we were there and was instantly in love with the apartment. She plans to rent it in the future with my other sister. I am not sure when that will be but knowing her, it will happen.
April 2014, Tim (United States)
Truly Venice's Alba d'Oro one-bedroom apartment really is the perfect place for a couple wishing a romantic sojourn in Venice. The apartment itself is comfortable; the living room furniture is lovely for reading and also taking naps; the dining room table seats 6 (or two looking directly out the windows at the Ca d'Oro across the Grand Canal); we used the kitchen to cook breakfasts, lunches and even a gourmet dinner (all ingredients were bought at the Rialto Markets, which are ~ 100 yards away, across a bridge over a tiny canal). The bedroom has adequate storage and a comfortable queen bed, and the bathroom works just fine (complete with a new stall shower). There is a washing machine, dishwasher, all the appliances and kitchenware you need. Oh, and a mosaic in the floor showing that the palazzo was remodelled in 1851. Really cool. But the location is really the kicker. You get a great front-seat view of the Grand Canal; down one flight of stairs is Calle dei Boteri -- a relatively quiet commercial street where there are restaurants and shops; you're very close not only to the Rialto Markets but also to the shopping area adjacent to the markets; and the "more authentic" San Polo neighborhood is right there. The Rialto Bridge is maybe 4 minutes away, maybe less, and in 10 minutes you're in St. Mark's Square. And there is a dock right outside the apartment where you can arrive from the airport by water taxi (or you can use the Rialto Market Vaporetto stop, 200 yards away, or the Rialto Alilaguna/Vaporetto stop just across the Rialto Bridge). The apartment is in the same palazzo as the Hotel L'Orologio, so you have a great place to get a drink or fancy breakfast within 100 feet of your door. Friends came to visit us and stayed there. In sum, Alba d'Oro is a lovely place to park yourself in a fantastic location with a perfect view, quiet but close to everything. We return for 2 weeks every year, and just reserved it for next year
