Many connoisseurs of Venice and influential artists have homes in this area as it is picturesque, culturally interesting and quiet. Besides the nearby Peggy Guggenheim Collection, other landmarks in the neighbourhood include the Accademia Gallery, Punta della Dogana, the François Pinault Foundation and other world-famous landmarks.
The Bernini is a very-bright first-floor apartment overlooking a lovely canal. It has been newly restored with high-end materials and furnishings and completely decorated to the exacting taste of the landlord who loves to spend his own holidays in Venice here. The privileged guests will find an immaculate apartment and not surprisingly they are requested very kindly to take great care of it!
The apartment has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large combined living-dining space and a very modern kitchen. The living room has a comfortable sofa, some Danish mid-20th century chairs and a rustic table. The designer kitchen is stunning and very functional. On the main level there is a cosy bedroom with king size bed, a walk-in wardrobe and a luxurious en-suite bathroom. A second semi-private bedroom with only 1.5 meters clearance is located up a staircase in the mezzanine level. A second elegant designer bathroom with shower is located off the living room.
The smart layout of the Bernini apartment optimizes its 70 square meters especially by the addition of the steel, wood and glass mezzanine providing a cosy relaxing area and the spare bedroom. The furniture is “industrial-vintage” and Scandinavian. The use of bright neutral colours on the parquet flooring, antique brick walls and wooden beamed ceilings in combination with colourful and playful interior details appeals especially to contemporary art lovers.
The amenities include air-conditioning in every room, Wi-Fi, washing machine, dishwasher, electric stove, fridge with freezer, microwave, kettle, coffee maker and other appliances.
The Bernini apartment is ideal for a couple and for short stays it can host up to four people. Keeping in mind the limits of the upstairs bedroom and open staircase, Bernini is not recommended for children.

We loved the quiet, but convenient location of this apartment, its excellent air conditioning, and its beautiful blend of historic walls, floors and high ceilings, with new modern bathrooms, and a well-equipped kitchen. The Truly Venice team was very professional and attentive, coordinating our arrival and departure water taxi smoothly and responding immediately to messages. We will definitely try to rent this apartment again when we are next in Venice.

Great apartment in a great part of Venice. Away from the crowds in a really nice up market neighbourhood with heaps of cafes restaurants and shops.

After staying at various hotels in Venice over the last 18 years, this was the third time we’ve used Truly Venice to book accommodation, and each visit seems to surpass the last. Booking with Daniela again very straightforward and considering our flight was over an hour late arriving, re-arranging the rendezvous with Vittoria was equally hassle free. (Dropped by a shared water taxi to within 100 yds. of the apartment was a big factor...) Anna took us through the check-in with very little fuss and shared some bang upto date recommendations on dining options. As for the apartment itself, really couldn’t fault it. A bit of an extravagance for two, would be fine for two couples (would need to toss a coin for the main bedroom or the mezzanine) and could work with couple + teenager, but staircase to the mezzanine is NOT suitable for small children. Location wise it’s on arguably the nicest Calles in arguably the nicest Sestiere, c/w partial views to the domes of the Salute. A little bit of noise from the bacari opposite, but this being Venice it tends to close relatively early. Enjoyed our week so much we opted to stay an extra couple of days, again with very little fuss. Would certainly return.

This was our last stay of a 5 week trip around Europe, and we really couldn't fault it. It was a great place to end our holiday, and a great time of year to see Venice. I have to say that while the apartment was great the service we got from Truly Venice was exceptional. They went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. They were waiting to meet us off our water taxi near San Vio and gave us some great personalised insights into the area. The apartment is pretty much exactly as it looks in the photos, it's really great. I was dreading the bathroom, having read how small and pokey they can be in Venice hotels but this was modern and there's plenty of room. Only teeny, tiny downside, is that if you have adults staying in the mezzanine, the ceiling is quite low, so there is a little bit of stooping needed - and you best keep the shutters closed while you get dressed unless you want to put on a show for people outside. Location, Location, Location - Its located almost opposite the entrance to the Peggy Guggenheim collection and we couldn't have asked for a better location. You're out of the main tourist drag, but just 5 mins from the Ponte dell'Accademia and you're back in the thick of it. Great cafes and restaurants nearby, and some great pizza about 50 metres from the front door. Highly recommend this place, and Truly Venice....

First, it really does look as smart and bright as it does in the photos. Second, it's in a fantastic location, one canal back from the Grand Canal, behind the Peggy Guggenheim Collection. Third, having a proper kitchen in Venice makes all the difference, as you can buy relatively cheap, fresh ingredients and knock up a delicious meal after a busy day sightseeing, without the expense and difficulty of finding a good restaurant every night. We loved the Bernini apartment and a visiting Italian friend said she would recommend it to all her friends who come to Venice. She was quite jealous! I loved having my own walk-in wardrobe, and the attention to detail with all aspects of design. The team at Truly Venice looked after us very well and I would certainly use them again, and recommend them. All in all it was a lovely experience.

We just spent the last week in the Bernini apartment in the Dusorduro Neighborhood and it was BEAUTIFUL. We've stayed at a few apartments with this company and all are very cool but this one was stunning and in THE most perfect area! Everything literally right outside your door or a short walk away. The only reason I didn't give it an excellent rating is that it needed extra sheets and blankets. There was only one coverlet on the bed no sheet or blanket. So ask for more immediately when you get there if there aren't yet! The decor was perfection it was small yet PERFECTLY APPOINTED. I come every 3 months and I would DEFINITELY stay there again! Lara and the other representatives of Truly Venice were fantastic and helpful. I would rate them 5 stars if I could!

Thank you for a wonderful stay at the Bernini apartment, the apartment was perfect (even better than it looked online) and we all had a wonderful time. Having done airbnb before we loved that extra level of attention/service you provided. I emailed day before arrival with questions about what was open on new years eve/day when we arrived, and instantly received super informative reply. Being meet by Thomas at the boat was great, he took us back to apartment and sat down with map and marked up lots full of fabulous things and places for us to visit, and when I asked how best to get to airport for our very early flight on day of departure, he said water taxi was only way and he’d sort it, and he did. Fabulous! Thanks again.

We loved this apartment. Beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and comfortable. We received excellent service from TrulyVenice Apartments (Thank you, Daniela and Hannah!). The location of this apartment is ideal. It's on a quiet, beautiful little street, and it's a short walk to the Accademia water bus stop. We were glad to have this corner of peace and quiet to return to every night, after the crush of tourists in other parts of town. If we ever make it back to Venice, we would absolutely stay here again. (Note about kids: This apartment is not suitable for young children, for a variety of reasons. The biggest one being the staircase up to the loft - absolutely not recommended for small kids. Our kids are 10 and 12, and they were just fine. Also, the art in the apartment is all original, so if it would stress you out to have your kids around valuable pieces of art, then this would not be a good place to stay.)

This space is enchanting. Everything one needs to ensure a wonderful stay. I will return and also hope my family will stay here in the future. Everywhere one is surrounded by beauty from the pieces of modern art to the white interior. A very special place for lovers of an uncluttered life. Thank you.
